Lesson Levels:

Introduction Program: This program is highly recommended for all first time riders. It consists of 4 half hour private lessons to help the rider get acquainted with not only being around horses, but the grooming, tacking, and riding that will get them up to speed for the level they are in.

Peanuts On Ponies: This class is for boys and girls ages 3 to 5. It provides a fun, safe, first riding experience involving learning through games, led trail rides, and riding basics made fun. *Parent involvement required’Äù

Level 1: This level is for first time riders ages 6 and up or riders that have had pony rides only. Also, Peanuts On Ponies graduates. Rider is introduced to being independent, games are also incorporated.

Level 2: Rider is able to independently lead pony, walk, steer through cones course, halt and knows correct mounting procedure and basic safety rules. Starting to trot with assistance.

Level 3: Rider is able to walk and trot independently, both sitting and posting, knows jumping position, can trot single cross rails and is familiar with diagonals.

Level 4: Rider is able to walk, trot, and canter independently, knows diagonals, is familiar with leads, and can jump a course of cross rails at the trot and canter.

Level 5: Rider is able to walk, trot, and canter independently, knows leads, can perform simple changes of lead and jump courses containing simple diagonal lines.

Level 6: Rider is comfortable at all gaits on the flat, and jumping 8-10 fence courses with turns, can perform bending and leg yielding exercises, and is familiar with flying lead changes.
