Pony Farm Horses Available for Sale and Lease

Pony Farm offers a free off farm lease program available from mid-August through mid-June. Leasors agree to provide all medical costs, shoeing and all care for the horse, and must be in a regular lesson program.

We also have an on farm leasing program available to current riders. Call for details.

The family of horses and ponies who reside at Pony Farm is always changing, and our goal is to facilitate the best possible transitions for each horse, to and from their new homes. Our lesson, camp and therapeutic riding programs are ‘staffed’ by a large herd of capable horses and ponies, and we are often fine tuning the exact lineup in order to accommodate changing programs. Let us know your interests and needs for buying and selling, we may have a perfect fit. So, while we are NOT a sales barn, we do sometimes have horses for sale or retirement. Give us a call if you have a need.

Although we are not a ‘sale barn’, we do take suitable horses and ponies that a family wishes to sell during our active summer season. We accept horses on consignment anytime after June 1st. These horses must be sound, well mannered and need to be able to walk, trot and canter, as well as jump at least cross rails. All horses must be reviewed by our lesson Program Director for suitability. We get them in good shape and then use them in our summer camp program. They receive excellent care and loads of TLC. Our campers are all good riders and can give your pony or horse some ‘mileage’ and exposure. Our staff also help school the horses, ensuring a consistent training program. If suitable, we also take them to local shows where they are announced as being for sale. The owners are welcome to place advertisements for their horse at their expense. We will show it to a perspective buyer.

Pony Farm does not charge anything for the board or training of these consignment horses. We also provide all shoeing, routine vet expenses and showing fees. The pony or horse must be picked up by its former owner if not sold by September 1st. Transportation is at the owner’s expense.
