In Part 1 of the Healing Nature of Horses we will be using a combination of lecture, discussion and hands on experiences to guide participants toward their own equine assisted practice. You will receive the tools to use in an equine assisted practice as well as experiences to determine what you need to begin an equine assisted practice. You will have opportunities to participate in an equine assisted session. In addition you will meet other professionals who are in various places in their journey of equine assisted facilitation. You will evaluate your own skills and experiences to move forward to gain all of the skills you need.

In Part 2 of the Healing Nature of Horses we will be helping participants to refine their skills, learn additional tools for equine work, discuss marketing strategies, observe others in their work and practice equine assisted therapeutic and educational activities for individuals and groups. We suggest prior participation in another Equine Assisted therapy or education workshop or that participants already be in practice as an equine assisted therapist or educator to participate in Part 2. We welcome people who wish to participate in all 4 days of the workshop.

Part 1 Approved for 12 CEUs by NASW; Part 2, 12 CEUs pending
