DATES: Friday evening, May 15, Saturday, May 16 - Sunday morning, May 17, 2009Boo Martin (formerly McDaniel) is a lifelong rider, driver and trainer, and the owner
and director of Pony Farm, Horse Power and The Lodge at Pony Farm. She holds
NARHA Certified Driving Certification.
Dave Bradham is a seasoned, experienced driver of both pleasure and work horses.
Friday evening with Boo Martin (optional): A brief review of driving and safety, how to choose a
harness and carriage, how to know when your horse is ready to drive.
Saturday (all day) and Sunday (morning until lunch) with Dave Bradham: Bring your own horse
and receive expert help in hooking up and driving. Take a driving, dressage or cones lesson. Or
learn to drive using one of our trusty school horses, the real teaching ‘pros’ for new drivers!
Lessons will be approximately 1 hour long each, and lesson times will be posted on Wednesday
before the clinic.
* We reserve the right to decline to hook up any horse we feel is not safe or ready to drive.
Cost: $175 per person for the entire clinic, includes Continental breakfast and lunch both days.
$50 for an approximately one hour lesson only, lesson times will be posted on Wednesday
before the clinic.
Lodging for out of town participants is now available at The Homestead at Pony Farm. This historic
1754 stage coach stop, formerly the Director’s home, offers the charm of the ‘olden days’ plus all the
comforts of home! Peek into the beehive fireplace oven, try the Indian shutters on the ground floor
windows, discover the ‘secret’ room where children were hidden in case of attack, admire the mastercrafted
hand-stenciled bedroom and huge fireplace cooking hearth.
$75 per person per night includes linens, full breakfast on Saturday and Sunday,
delicious dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, Shared baths.
